Wessex Racing Club News (updated 23/01/20)

Three in One (Jack Barber)

Three in One has had one run over hurdles so far this season finishing 5th at Fontwell. We then took him chasing at Lingfield in December in what transpired to be desperate ground and he was pulled up. We will revert to hurdles and a trip of 3 miles plus when the ground dries up a little. His mark of 76 when related to his point to point form means he should be competitive.

Le Coeur Net (AJ Honeyball)

Le Coeur Net has had 5 runs so far this season finishing 3rd at Ffos Las, 2nd twice (Plumpton and Newbury) before winning in a thrilling finish at Wincanton on Boxing Day, ridden by Ben Godfrey. He has now attained a mark of 116 which opens up the opportunity to aim a bit higher.

In his latest run he lost all momentum following a mistake when in contention at the 4th last at Haydock and then Unseated Ben at the last.

He will run again in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Lamanver Bel Ami (Jack Barber)

A lovely new horse for the Club this year - he ran twice last season finishing 4th and 5th in two bumpers. In his first run this year he ran very free at Plumpton. He then ran at Exeter in early December, where he settled much better, and now we will wait for drier ground before his next run.

He will be out again in mid-February.

Once he has a mark we will have more options for him.

Lily The Pink (AJ Honeyball)

Lily the Pink is a 5 year old mare by Malinas out of the same dam as Midnight Callisto (trained by AJH and a winner already this season). She has been placed in bumpers and also in her first run over hurdles.

Lily ran a lovely race to win at Exeter on January 21st leading from virtually start to finish under Rex Dingle - another great day out for the Wessex Racing Club.
